we went through this piece for APEL last friday..
A message by George Carlin after his wife passed away...
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorted tempers, wider freeways, but narrower view points. Wespend more, but have less, buy more, but enjoy less. -------more conveniences, but less time.--------- more experts, yet more problems, more medicine , but less wellness.
Do you start to feel how realistic all those are.. so many problems are caused by ourselves... sometimes i wonder why cant the world be more simple..
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to our life, not life to years. ------ We've conquered outer space, but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things..
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.----- We've learnt to rush but not to wait. We've build computers to produce soo much more, but we communicate less and less.
the entire essay id just brilliantly written... it describes almost every aspect in life, on how so much of the problems is just self created.. people rush too much, wait to little, get too tired, relax too little. its cold and lonely in the world...this is MY sentence....
the world has heated up, but has lost its warmth..
we should start enjoying the things in life.
tired.
byebye...
